The new Medical Instruction Facility provides functional venues for training tri-service BMET, radiology, nuclear medicine, dental, and pharmacy technicians. Classroom instruction is principally focused in Buildings I and II. The goal is to deliver a well organized, thoughtful design to enhance program requirements, facilitate ease of use and maintenance, and support the essential mission. Building I includes radiology and BMET space. The first floor of Building I will be connected to Building II by a utility link, housing fire pumps and other required mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications equipment. BMET training and radiology classrooms are located on levels two and three of Building I with additional classroom space and laboratories around the perimeter.

Energy conservation was accomplished by incorporating strategies into the design as required to meet energy conservation mandates of the Energy Policy Act 2005, Executive Order 13423, and LEED Silver Certification.
