John Mills, PE, LEED APPrincipal/Project Manager/Electrical Engineer
John Mills has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio, is a LEED Accredited Professional, has over 24 years of professional design experience, and has been with Goetting & Associates for 11 years. John specializes in commercial, federal, higher education and laboratory projects. John recently completed the design of the new DPT Laboratories facility at Brooks City Base. He is currently working on a border station for General Service Administration (GSA), and a new $125 million, 400,000 sf campus for Alamo Community College District (ACCD), which includes a Performing Arts/Fine Arts Building, Career Tech and Academic Buildings, Wellness Center, Library/Learning Resources Center, Student Services Building and a 2400 ton central plant designed for an ultimate capacity of 4000 tons. John serves as the head of the electrical quality control and focus group. John has a passion for sustainable design and has completed many projects using renewables such as photovoltaics. Although it’s hard to put a value on sustainability John says it’s just good design and, as more benchmarking tools become available, owners will see the value in providing a healthier indoor environment.
