Key Project Elements Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Plumbing Engineering Green Energy Systems Photovoltaics
An experimental energy customer service center using safe, recycled materials, sustainable energy systems and water conservation techniques better known as “green energy” systems. The 75,000 gross sf facility incorporates environmentally friendly systems, which also include two 100 ton absorption chiller-heater units. The modular, single sheet, hermetic design uses lithium bromide for absorption and water as the refrigerant.
Natural gas and several rooftop solar panels are used for the heating ventilation and air conditioning system and a 2,000 sf roof-mounted photovoltaic (Pv) system, which is one of the largest building PV power-generating roof system in the South Central Texas region. The PV process converts sunlight directly into electricity.
The integrating solar, photovoltaic, natural gas and water reclamation systems design and function provide numerous energy-saving alternatives.
