Christus Santa Rosa Westover Hills Hospital
San Antonio, Texas

This project consists of a 306,000 sf hospital with emergency room, radiology with MRI, labor and delivery, 6 operation rooms, nuclear medicine, and a 150 bed 6 story tower. The project also included a 60,000 sf attached medical office building. Goetting and Associates is provided all MEP design system services including the central plant, air distribution, emergency power generation, interior and exterior lighting, power distribution and fire protection system. This project started construction in February of 2007.

Seton Medical Center Tower Expansion
Austin, Texas

Goetting and Associates is providing the MEP design services for a challenging $ 31.3 million, 5-story, 120,000 square foot expansion to the existing main campus of Seton Medical Center. Goetting & Associates is also designing modifications to Seton’s Central Plant to include a 600-ton chiller and associated cooling tower, various pumps and new piping. The ground floor of the new expansion area consist a gift shop areas, information assistance and a large mechanical room and entrances to the existing hospital. The first floor of the new expansion tower will consist of a Community Education area, conference area, gift shop and entrance to the existing hospital area. The second floor includes 30 new Postpartum rooms, 4 new C-sect rooms, new level 1 and continuing care nurseries, various new patient care services, nursing stations, recovery rooms, antepartum and other hospital staff support rooms. Levels 3 and 4 are currently being shelled for future patient care areas such as Med/Surg, NICU, or additional postpartum rooms as demand for these services is expected to increase in the 2010-20 timeframe.

Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) Full Hospital Replacement
Fort Sam Houston, Texas

This 1,400,000 sf hospital was one of the largest projects ever performed by the Corps of Engineers. BAMC includes a 450-bed replacement hospital, outpatient clinic and the 120,000 sf, three-story Institute of Surgical Research. A remote Central Energy Plant contains 5,000 tons of cooling capacity and 1,500 boiler HP of steam generation at 125 psig. The site distribution design consisted of 1.56 miles of underground and 1.42 miles of overhead parallel redundant circuits.

Texas Center for Athletes
San Antonio, Texas

This project consists of a new 130,000 sf medical office building shell that will include the design and build-out of a 14,000 sf Ambulatory Surgery Center, a 4,000 sf Diagnostics Center and a 5,000 sf Physical Therapy area. Goetting and Associates provided full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for this project and a 63,312 sf parking garage.

Mercy Regional Medical Center
Laredo, Texas

The new Mercy Regional Medical Center is located on fifty-acres in north Laredo and is designed in a Spanish-Colonial architectural style which relates to the community, its heritage and history. The Replacement Hospital is a 420,000 sf, five-story facility with 327-beds and a 17,000 sf emergency room. The Ambulatory Care Center, which is approximately 25,000 square feet, provides day surgery, diagnostic imaging, physical therapy and related services. Two Medical Office Buildings, totaling 280,000 sf, are located adjacent to the facility. The new Medical Center Complex is supported by a 20,000 sf Central Energy Plant with 4000 tons of refrigeration and two 1000 KW diesel driven emergency generators.

Bassett Army Community Hospital Replacement
Ft. Wainwright, Alaska

This project consisted of the design and construction of a Replacement Hospital for the Bassett Army Community Hospital in Alaska. Facility includes services for primary care, emergency services, specialty care, physical therapy, dental care, inpatient nursing, labor and delivery and surgical services. Goetting and Associates provided the MEP design system services.

Methodist / Columbia Consolidation
San Antonio, Texas

This project constitutes the first phase of consolidation of three (3) facilities containing 1,177 licensed beds This project relocated the existing services of the 150-bed Women's and Children's Hospital to the 611-bed Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital. New and remodeled space was 114,000 sf, and 80,000 sf was shell finish-out. Goetting and Associates provided the MEP design system services for this project.

Methodist Children's Hospital
San Antonio, Texas

The new children's hospital has 98 general medicine beds and a 48-bed neonatal intensive care unit. It features a dedicated pediatric emergency room, operating suites, pediatric imaging, physical therapy and specialty clinics.

Methodist Hospital Addition
San Antonio, Texas

The addition included a 1.5 Tesla MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) unit, a hyperbaric chamber, a pediatric intensive care unit, lateral arc catheterization room and PET scanner. Also included was a SICU, C.T. Scanner Room, Neonatal/Maternity and Labor Delivery renovations.

Methodist Hospital South Tower Addition
San Antonio, Texas

This project included a ten-story addition to the existing hospital. The central plant has a capacity of 4,000 tons of refrigeration, 1,800 boiler HP of steam generation and 3,000 CW of diesel driven emergency power generation. After project renovations were completed, the cooling tower was repacked to increase capacity to 5,000 tons.

Methodist Plaza
San Antonio, Texas

This 300,000 sf of finished space includes a two-structure building with ambulatory care, a five-story facility for outpatient surgery, X-ray and chemical laboratories, and hyperbaric chamber. The main structure also has three levels of parking.

Metropolitan Hospital 3-Story Addition
San Antonio, TX

The three-story addition included a renovation of the nuclear X-ray medicine areas, a new 4,000 amp/480 volt electrical system, underground parking and parking lot, CAT Scanner, cardiac catheterization lab, ambulatory surgical care unit, fourth floor data processing center, lease space finish-outs.

Christus Santa Rosa Hospital Century II Expansion
San Antonio, Texas

The 170,000 sf, 500-bed Century II expansion consisted of five floors and basement addition to the existing hospital. Also included was a central plant (3000 TR).

Christus Santa Rosa Northwest Hospital
San Antonio, Texas (formerly Saint Rose Catholic Hospital)

This 200,000 sf project was the complete design of a new 200-bed (400 future) health care facility. The central plant has two 900 ton centrifugal chillers and 600 boiler HP of steam generation. The hospital was fast track designed and built in only twenty-two months.

Christus Santa Rosa Emergency Department
San Antonio, Texas

This 11,000 sf addition to the emergency department included four (4) trauma rooms, waiting rooms, administration area and isolation rooms which required separate exhaust systems. HVAC was distributed through two (2) variable roof top units with hot water reheat boxes.

Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research Virology & Immunology Laboratory Complex including BSL-4 Lab
San Antonio, Texas

This project included a 35,000 sf, single-story biomedical research laboratory complex which ranks in the top facilities capable of studying emerging and deadly infectious diseases. The complex includes a Bio-safety Level 4 (BSL-4) containment lab, which is the fourth of its kind in the United States. The complex includes three BSL-3 labs, twelve BSL-2 labs, and 12,000 sf of office space. Also built for the laboratory was a 900 ton chilled water plant serving both the existing campus and the new building cooling loads. Goetting and Associates performed mechanical, electrical and plumbing commissioning for the BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratories.

Northeast Baptist Hospital
San Antonio, Texas

Goetting and Associates provided the master plan and facilities analysis for this 47,000 sf, three-story ambulatory care center. The project also included the redesign of existing space into an open heart surgery unit with a cardiac catheterization laboratory, doctor's lounge and remodel of Operating Room #1.

University Health Systems Northside Family Clinic
San Antonio, Texas

Retrofit of approximately 30,000 sf of existing structure to house facilities for primary care specialties including obstetrics / gynecology, family practice, internal medicine, and ancillary services such as X-ray and laboratory facilities.

Wilford Hall Medical Center Hospital MRI Addition
Lackland AFB, Texas

This design/build project includes an 8,000 sf magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) addition to the existing hospital. Facility supports a 1.5 tesla G.E. MRI unit, with supporting computer equipment, medical offices and treatment rooms.
