Ken Wheatley, PE - Principal and Project Manager

DESIGN CAPABILITIES

Mr. Wheatley is a licensed professional mechanical engineer with 40 years of experience in engineering design and construction and has been with Goetting & Associates for 25 years. He is the principal and project manager for major health care and laboratory projects in both the public and private sectors. He has worked on many projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers including the Fort Worth, Omaha, Louisville, and, Alaska Districts’, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Mr. Wheatley was Project Manager and Chief Mechanical Engineer for the 1.5 million square foot Brooke Army Medical Center which opened in 1995. He just completed the MEP design of a $175 million replacement hospital in Ft. Wainwright, Alaska and the 120,000 square foot Tower Expansion for Seton Hospital. Ken also specializes in large Central Plants and recently completed the design for a central plant with 25,000 tons of refrigeration including four (4) 5000 ton water chillers and two (2) 2500 ton glycol chillers for thermal ice storage capable of providing 52,800 ton-hours of ice storage. Ken’s goal is to provide his clients with energy efficient, flexible, and innovative solutions that meet tomorrow’s healthcare needs.
